I feel as though the purpose of this article was to show our new generation and mid-older generation of adults about how Internet Addictions have long term effects on everyday lives. These effects have included medical, emotional problems, and in some cases even death. I also feel that this article really helps other generations to open their eyes as well. The Internet is a way for most people who suffer from these disorders to escape. It’s like their own personal way to vent their problems and or to get their aggression out. Somewhat like having your own personal therapist in your pocket always. Being on a device and concentrating on something else helps them stay distracted and not focused on themselves as much. What causes an Internet Addiction? It can be as simple as texting someone you love every day or hearing from a friend that lives far way. Or trying to finish that new video game that just came out. It gives you a rush kind of like adrenaline, and makes you feel happy inside when you beat the game or reply to a text.
